Has anybody ever taken the thermostat out of their 450. Is it going to hurt anything to let it free flow. The bike motor doesnt have one. Do they have the same impelling system?

It probably wouldnt be good for winter. It would probably take a lot longer to warm up. The bike is usually not riden in winter so it doesnt matter. Correct me if im wrong.

the thermistat controls if the fan goes on. the only atv that I can think of that the thermistat stops the flow is a 85/86 yamaha tri-z three wheeler and that proved to be a nuisince and led to many of them taken out. And by the way, the fans on yfz's and tx450r's turn on at 200 degrees, most people never see them turn on(if you aren't letting the motor sit and idle for awhile)

I am going to go ahead and pull it out. I dont have the fan on there and all this bike sees is the track. I have quite a few mods on the motor so not warming up realy isnt an issue. In fact in the summer i need every bit of cooling i can get.
