Hey fellas...I need your help! I have a 2000 400EX. The frame is getting new powder coat (translucent red).
The engine looks a little weathered (oxidized) How can I make it look new again?? I heard common oven cleaner works! :ermm:

Yeah...I just got through scrubbing tonight. I used Meguires Hot Rims wheel cleaner. Stuff works great on engines! I sprayed it on top to bottom let it soak for 10 mins. and went to town on it with small fine wire brush & brillo pads. All the gunk came off pretty easy and the alum shined up nicely! I'm going to spend some more time on it tomorrow polishing & detailing.
