need quick response-swingarm bearings

ok im putting in my new swing arm bearings right now and in the kit i got from all-balls racing there is are bearings, a rubber bushing, and a metal cap like thing. i got the stock bearings and bushings out but there is no metal cap like in the kit i got. the bearings and the bushings fit but i dont know where this metal cap fits in there:confused: any help is greatly appreciated!

they sound like the dust caps.

A lot of the times the "metal cap" has been rusted out and worn completely off. They are the dust caps but they get all the exposure to the water and mud so if they have been in for a long time it is possible they have worn out. I've seen them almost gone but not completely missing. They are usually just barely hangin in there.
