Can anyone tell what the difference is between the 450r rear shock and the 400ex?? I realize the 450r is like an 1" shorter but aside from that is it any different?? Valved different?? How much better is the ride and do you have more travel on the 400 for you guys running the 450 rear shock?? Is it worth picking one up or not??

I have the 450R shocks front and back. I ran a revalved 400ex rear shock, beforehand and I don't think there is much of a difference with the 450R shock. There is not an increase in travel.

the 450r front will fit wit the slightest modifing you just have to bend some of the upper shocks mount its easy i have them on mine

Once again another genius screwing with his frame instead of listening to the people of this site. Grind part of the shock eye down for the R shocks, much better and if the shock breaks, it's cheaper and easier to fix than the frame.
