It can be done i had it on mine last season. you need the ex seat which is only $100ca and modafiy the front seat hooks on it.
then drill the stock 250r seat latch 2 match up with ex seat.
to mount the fronts you need to fab up 2 brackets from the shock post to the front mounts of the ex plastic i think they wer 2.5 inchs. and also two from the back going down from the original mounts 2 the side panels. i hope thi helps a little.

Sorry it is awfully dirty. Has been too cold to wash anything since I've had it out. I got these plastics 2 years ago for $20. Had to add the hood, gas tank cover, 400ex seat and a few misc. items, but has held up fairly well to all the abuse I have dished out to it.

I cut off all the mounting hardware from the 400ex seat and bolted on R hardware in its place. The center grommets have custom aluminum brackets to line them up with the narrower subframe rails on the R.

Not sure if this helps, but here is the front bracket for the seat a little closer.

Used a Maier gas tank cover for a 400ex. Trimmed a lot of material out of it to make it fit. Again-- sorry for the dirty pictures. Today it might be warm enough to wash the R...

I bent a piece of strap steel to mimmick the 400ex front brackets. Tapped the top hole for 6mm threads and used a collared 400ex hardware bolt.

I used the rubber grommets from the 250R plastic, and installed into a piece of strap steel. I drilled a 1/2 inch hole in one side for the grommet, and tapped a hole for 6mm threads in the other and mounted to the 400ex side panels with a spacer collar. I was tempted to cut off the mount on my frame and weld to a spot that lined up with the 400ex plastic, but I wanted to be able to reverse the process to install 250R fenders again someday.

edit: I'm back to 250R plastics. So glad I left my frame alone.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've been asked to reload some of the pics.

Good luck on your projects!

Here's a little more recent pic of my R-- still dirty:
