We just started instaliing my new suspention and aArms tongiht and as Rico already stated ..Its cramped up front now!!! We cant figure out how to make the
Shrouds(tinners)
Rezzies
Damper
Sway Bar

ALL FIT!!! has anyone got it all to fit before?? I guess I can bag the shrouds to make room for the Sway bar, but what about my damper??

Also, I need help on knowing how to set the Toe in,tierods, Balljoints ect....

I have a +3 Burgards with Elkas(standard length)

If anyone can help me and maybe associate some of this with pics I would appreciate it.. I have races this wk end and need it ready in time!:macho ;)

I guess I should mention ,this is for an EX :)

I have the same setup you have, minus the sway bar. I don't know what to say about that, but here is a pic of how mine is set up.

Even though I was tinners first customer, I had to get rid of his scoops on my quad just for the sheer fact that they were in the way and weren't 100% necessary like the rest of the crap I"ve got crammed up front on my quad.

Tina you don't need the dampner for flattrack do ya?????? I would leave that out & go w/the swaybar, in fact I don't think I've seen a dampner on a flattracker around here, just a thought :D good luck!!

put the rezzies on the back pipe and make a notch in the shrouds like I did to make it fit.

When i had my EX i had my rezzies mounted like Rico has his, my shrouds fit. Not sure how a sway bar fits but if u mount the rezzies on the back bar you should beable to get it all in there. When ever i order front shocks i make sure to specify that i want extra hose added so i can move them way back if neccasary, just wish the elka's on my dale had more hose:chinese: This may be a stupid question but if u knew you had all that stuff to put on the front end y didn't u order piggyback resivoirs??:huh

yup:)

And for the toe....I forget what we used, but it was somthing for finding angles. I believe I set mine to 0 degrees and I love it:)

Setting the tie rods is pretty easy, measure the distance from the inside of the front of the tire, and the rear of the tire, make the distances the same, and make sure your handle bars are stright;) You can also measure from the outside of the tire also if you want to make sure you are 100%.

It's tight for sure. I had just the rezzies and dampner before. I put them on the lower tubes laying flat like hondarider2006 had one of his.

Wel, Im happy to report that we got IT ALL TO FIT!!:blah: and it looks d@mn good too!!! I only hope it sits lower when I get the rea shocks on cause right now I lost 1inch of width(had spacers to make it 50 wide) and it sits taller even with the TT springs to me :huh the Rears go on tomorrow. Ill have to take of pick of all the front stuff on tomorrow. :)

This is how i mounted my rear shock rezzy because my airscoops got in the way, this might only work if you have a aluminum airbox though

Try mounting it below the gas tank on the header side. Kind of like in the picture...

QuadJunkies
01-20-2005, 08:32 PM
I like that Idea!! ^^^^^:)

We had it mounted up right under where my rear light used to be ,next to the pipe yet UNDER and past the grab bar that way if for some reason it would go bad or blown ect.. IT wouldnt hit anything, Ill have to take a pic and show you where exactly but, for now. We removed trhe rear shock.. Its WAYYY too tall even with a TT spring, I didnt like it AT ALL :grr: Ill stick woith my Hokie cut rear stock spring, it works well. Then when not FT racing, Ill just have the Elka Rear put back on. Even the front TT springs made it too tall so a lowering kit had to be added back on :ermm:

Well. Here is what she looks like all nice and dirty still... But I think it looks GOOD!
