How does everyone like theirs? Or what do you prefer in a filter.

I love Uni...My favorite filter I have owned. The foam is so much easier to clean than the cotton K&N's. When i use to run K&N, i could take the filter off and the air boot would have a pile of dirt in it.

My intake would have a little sand in it too, I'm rebuilding my quad now and purchased a UNI for my new engine!:D The K&N might flow a hair more air, but its not worth the price of a new engine. I will probably continue using their filters in my truck though because Ill be keeping the lid on that air box. K&N will be a street only air filter for me.

I have had no problems with mine, and I trust it much more than my old K&N;)

Best filter I've ever used, cheaper than a K&N also.

I run Twin air on my new 330 enging. Which is pretty much the same as a UNI. I would run one of those 2 anyday over a K&N. I would always find little bits of dirt in my intake.

how do you guys oil your uni's. i run a k&n but i think im going to make the switch because there was dust in my intake boot. with the $$$ in my motor im thinking that it cant be good and definitally dont want to fork out more for the motor. Do you only oil the inner filter and not the foam outer part??

You buy the spray filter oil. It isn't messy. Spray the entire outside of the filter and squish it by hand with rubber gloves on. That is the easiest way I think. You want the outside to have the most oil on it not the inside because the oil traps all the dust particles. If someone has a better way of doing it I'm all ears. Its always good to hear other peoples ideas.

I have a uni on my 416 and it works very well. Had a few problems with dirt gettin through, untill I started oiling it more.

i figured it might be better for the dunes because if you dont oil the outer the sand will fall off and the fine particles that go farther will get trapped by the inner.

UNI is the only off-road filter out there IMO!

I don't understand the guy saying UNI and No toil don't work together. I've used No Toil Oil and Cleaner on my filter for over a year, and I think the No Toil oil is the best foam filter oil you can buy. I have yet to find something as sticky or that works as well. Not only that it's very easy to clean...

they work pretty good, i just started used Twin Air. not too much of a difference, but i like the Twin Air a little better because it is naturally colored and the seems look to be glued better. the Uni's work fine though.

Does anyone have a UNI with a stock pipe... If so did you need to rejet the carb? Thanks
