anyone know how to do this, i;m thinkin about racing this summer and don;t wanna ruin my stock plastic its still pretty mint,
Anyway i figured i;d put some race cut 400ex plastic on and put the numbers and everything on. but does anyone know how hard this is????

It is not that hard. I did it to mine.
You'll need the complete 400ex seat, as well as the plastics with side panels.
You can modify 400ex front fender brackets to work, but I just fabricated my own. For the rear, I cut the front tabs off the 400ex seat and screwed an 86 bracket to it, but you could cut the mounts on the frame and re-weld to match the 400ex seat.
I also cut out a section of the right rear fender for kickstarter clearance.
