do i need a jett kit

i have some mods in my quad a have a cobra pipe the mechanic did the heads i have a bigger exsaust pippe from the front to the back my quad its more faster then what a stock one is i just wanna know what a jett kit is and when do i need one im confused

you by a jet kit when you want to rejet your bike !
if you put a pipe its probably not neccesary but if you put a filter with your pipe you will have to rejet because more aire is coming in and you have more flow cause of the pipe!!

you may need a re-jet after you add a full sysytem.A jet kit will offer you new a new needle jet (different profile from stock) a few different pilot jets and a few different main jets. The drawback to that is the jets are not always numbered the same ans stock mikuni or Keihin. So you may just need to re-jet and adjust your air screw. buy a shop manual for your bike and read through the carb section so you understand how it works before you tear into it. Also a Dial -A-Jet system works very well for the 400ex as well

im not sure but i think its around 40 or 50 dollards !!

i just went and bawt a couple of jet and its like 2 buck for a jet so its cheaper, if you buy a jet kit you get more stuff and instructions!!!

If you have a dealer close by just buy single jets for $3-4 a peice. The kits are a rip off. Just get a few that are close to what you need and save yourself a bunch of money.
