Is there anything else I could use other than Kerosene to clean my air filter?

Use dish soap and warm water may have to wash it a couple of times but I heard that the kerosene will eventually eat away the glue. I never used kerosene, have been using just soap and water for years I even have a foam filter on my truck that I use soap and water. Sprint cars filters are the same foam with oil and soap and water cleans them up. Make sure you oil the filter good before installing.

I use just regular filter oil when I re-oil the filter? Could you recommend which filter oil I should use?

As it is for a foam air filter, any kind will work. I use UNI and it is really good. Never let any dirt through.

If its a foam filter I use PJ1 Foam Filter Cleaner. Just spray it on and rinse it off. Works great.
I also use PJ1 Foam filter oil.

Me too, but I switched to Klotz filter oil cause it foams and seems to soak in better.
