i recently put my 440 together and now i hear alot of people talking about taking the choke out of the carb. what does this help and what do you remove from it?

there was a thread on here about 5 mo ago about this, it just gives you more air with the choke removed. i have thought about doing it several times now but i dont remember how the thread said to do it. you can do a search and maybe find it. good luck!

I did this mod before I got my FCR and it made a difference for sure. You also will not have any starting issues as you may suspect, unless you have like a WB rev box or similar.
There is a complete step by step how-to in the TECH ARTICLES section of the site, so you shouldnt have to do any searching...

Like TC426EX said, go to the TECH SECTION on this site. I just took my choke out a few weeks ago. The article made it pretty easy and I can definately tell there is a difference. I also put in a 42 pilot jet, so starting would not be an issue.
