Heading down there myself this weekend with raptorchick. You should have a great time although it is supposed to rain. I hear this is your first trip to the dunes. Winchester has some pretty good ones. I have been told that they are the largest ones in Oregon. There is one that I know of that should be pretty good for busting out some freestyle. I saw a guy getting about 20' of air off of it on a quad. :devil:

Now it looks like the weather is going to cooperate, but I'm bringing rain gear just in case. I can't wait, it's been a couple months since I've been to the dunes. :devil:

We are Washintonians, a little water should hurt. Hahaha. I can't wear raingear when I am riding I will sweat myself skinny.:eek2: I don't want that. Need the winter coat for a couple of months yet. Can't wait sounds like it's gonna be a blast.

No , it was one that I got and fixed up .. had it for about 6 months maybe a little longer .. I have an Idea where its at ...

Lifes going to get pretty bad for these guys , you dont steal from a COP .. big NO NO ...

Hope to see a bunch of you guys this weekend , it should be pretty cool to see these guys through it down, hell I might even try some nac nac or something .. I hope someone if filming it because I will be in the CRASH section ...

yeah... we're going to.. can't wait to see you get some air. I just checked the weather over there and it said partly sunny and 60 degrees. Perfect..We are cleaning up the bikes as i write, a little muddy from riding last weekend plus need to put the paddles on.Winchester has some awsome jumps and some big dunes.I heard they are the best dunes in the US.:blah:

Nah...the best jumping to be had in the Oregon Dunes is at Florence (my opinion). There are jumps everywhere. Winchester has it's share, but it's more known for it's tall/steep hillclimbs....especially this time of the year when the sand has more moisture in it.

If you're there, load up and drive 20 minutes North to Florence for an afternoon of riding, and also go another 20-30 minutes South to Coos Bay. If you're coming from out of state, you might as well hit them all.

Hey Narly, don't worry about it, you didn't miss anything. Only Kelly made it out...the other guys didn't want to come out. Kelly stayed around for a little then headed down to Cali to ride. The lips suck right now at all the dunes anyways. Oh, I met your friend Casey on the CRF. I got his number so we could go riding sometime.

we were only at the dunes for a few hours.. and they sucked! no jumps at all, the lips were rounded on everything. we loaded up and stayed at tavis cains then went to danas the next morning and rode his track.

next race will probably be next friday and next saterday.. i messed up my carrier barrings on my blue bike so i needa get it fixed. hopefully my of will be done by then too, well, it better be. i practice tuesday and wednesday, practice is only 20 bucks, @ salem fairgrounds from 5-9.

If I hada seen this thread earlyer, I woulda invited myself. I'm new in the wheeler world and don't really have anyone to ride with. I'm in Roseburg which is really close to the Oregon Dunes.
