Does sound like the clutch is wearing, but bigbore400ex is right, you do have an adjustment to take up the difference of the clutch wearing.

There are 2 bolts (8mm head) on the right side case holding the small clutch cable mounting bracket. Take the bolts out. To adjust this is pretty simple.

With light tension (with your finger) on the clutch arm on the motor, adjust the clutch cable in the mounting bracket to line the holes up with the two bolts you just took out.

You might adjust it about an 1/8 to 1/16" tight (meaning when you put the bolts in, it will slightly pull the clutch arm to the right).

You are done.

my friend had the same problem just the other day, all we did was adjust it at the engine and it works great now, make sure you adjust it the right way, we accidently did it the wrong way and the gears wouldn't grab after letting out the clutch, good luck, this should solve it

i used to have the same problem on my bike when i would shift from neutral to first it would start going, we changed my clutch plates and it is all fine, just while you are changing it make sure that your outer basket is not worn out, or it will alow the plates to break, and get in the transmission, and make a big mess

Look in most any mag like Dirtwheels, etc. They usually have a add for them in about every magazine.

i used to have the same problem with my 300ex with it "creeping" anyways when i got the guy to redo my engine. he looked at the clutch basket and it was worn and rough. so he filed all the burrs out of it and did some other work to it and it now works fine.

With mine, i think the clutch is just old and worn out. But, i dont really want to take it all apart and put the thing in.(takes ALOT of time, and is kind of hard. What should i do, get the clutch and have them install it, or attempt to put it in myself?

A clutch is easy to do and you don't even have to drain the oil. Turn it on it's side and go to it. Once you got the five bolts and springs out take the nut off then the clutches and steels. Whats the big deal?
