you just have a slip on that's it?

175main is waaaaaaaaay too big, pick up a 152 or around there.

got to hmf engeenering site they say 165 to 170 and where i got it they say 175 main jet 3.5 twists on screw and needle in first position but would jetting cause my quad to stall out on jumps anmd whats weird is it did it on only the same table top every time

those jets that they sent me sure as hell didn't work. i called mike over there and he told me to start at 152 and work my way up but 152 worked perfect for me.

i can't really understand what your saying, but you do NOT want the needle clip on the 1st position. you will want it on the 3rd or 4th from the top, given your using the stock needle.

yes, without getting technical here is how the jetting changes:

at high elevation levels (lets say 3000 feet above sea level, for example), you will use smaller (leaner) jets. at low elevation levels, you will use larger jets. the temperature plays a pretty large role too.

i understand jetting due to elevation, i just didn't see the original poster state anything about what his elevation is...

if i have a pc slip on, rev box, what jet should i run at 3500'??

thanks,

Kelly

at that elevation, you probably won't change much from stock given your air box lid is on. i would probably go to a 150 or 152 at biggest. i always do plug checks. i know what my plug looks like when it is running the way i like.

what is the best way to change a plug? do you have to remove the gas tank?

use p[lyars and u dont have to take tank off or if you r un coorinated use the stock tools to change it with tank on i do it in woods all the time but pplyers r the fastest way

i use the stock socket that came with the bike to change the plug. you don't need to remove anything, well the plug boot.

Iam going to get the full HMF system, but is it ok just to change the main jet? and not move the clip needle or anything else?

if your not going to change anything else, i would at least turn the fuel screw out a little bit more than stock.
