new hotstart cable

Well i got a new hotstart cable for the WC pro perch from JH. Do you have to go into the carb to change cables? Also i got some oem parts with it which were stuff like a spring, 1 black and 1 gold curved tubes, and 2 other screw ons has anyone changed those oem parts with those?

Not to say that the WC lever/perch is bad, but you have to by that custom cable and I know there not cheap. You should have just got the Gen X lever/ perch that works with the stock cable. I see tham on ebay starting at $75.

how much did you pay for the WC lever/perch + the custom hot start cable

I believe it was 170 all together. Ya it was not cheap

to answer your q, no you dont have to go into the carb to change cables. take your tank off and you'll see where the hs cable goes into the carb. unscrew the retainer nut that holds the cable in and pull it out. change the cable and put it back together.

ya i just disconnected it but what do i do with these elbow type tubes that i got with my oem kit?

Well i got everything hooked together but the modified cable is way to loose so is there anyway to tighten it?
