i hurd some trash talking about this years AC nerfs and ppl are pushing for DG but im not a big fan of DG i had the alloy series on my 400ex and i folded, bent and broke them so... and im looking for nerfs at a good price and thats why i was thinking more AC because i dont like the pro armors nerf bars because of the big beefy heel guards and the price tag.

So.... what do you think's the best way to go for me and my empty pocket?

Guess it all depends on if you race or not. If you dont then Dollar General (aka DG) will be just fine. For racing you definately wanting something with a wider footpeg. I think the X-Factor propegs look pretty sick with that monster peg.

Here is my 450r a pic with its nerfs. The fronts of the nerfs are welded to the side of the frame which makes them very strong and I think is almost required at the nationals now.

The new DG's with the race peg built in look pretty damn sweet, and I guess they use stronger peg mounts than the other manufacturers. I dont know if thats true or not but they look pretty bad ***. I would go with them if I ran no heel guards, but if you like heel guards then go with the AC pro pegs.

I have the Tusks on the 400 and 450. There built just as well as ones that cost twice the price. I am very impressed with them for $100.

I had the DG on my 400ex and they worked, but mounted to my frame with U clamps. Which I think was a dumb idea, espescally when my frame started to rust:grr: . I now have AC's and they kick ars, I'm thinking about taking off my AC standard nerfs and buying the AC propegs.:D
