if that picture is real which i think it is, that looks pretty sic. Keep it up!

That just reminded me of a ol rider who use to jump all his jumps sitting backwards on a dirt bike. He use to be able to jump pretty far back in the day like that. Dunno what happened to him though.

4. Feel free to attach ATV related pictures to you posts. Pictures of riders without helmets will be deleted - riding without a helmet is very dangerous and is an activity strongly comdemned by ATVriders.

Yeah, the first pic is real. I just got real bored one day, and said f' it, I wanna try somethin new. It's a little easier now, I made some big changes to the 300, so I've got more room to move around.

No motor mods to date, have some in line for the future though. As for a list of the parts on it for now...

Powdercoated frame, suspension, and crankcase covers
Durablue heavy-duty axle(soon to be swapped for LSR)
LSR billet axle carrier and anti-fade axle locknut
Works dual rate shocks(going to Elka sometime)
LSR Steering stem - Stock height
Pro Taper Pastrana FMX handlebars
RTC Brake lever and clutch perch/lever assembly
Acerbis MX flag handgaurds
Pro Design killswitch
CR killswitch button - used for starter button
250X front bumper
ITP Holeshot MX 19" front, MXR4 18" rear
14/34 gearing
DG nerfbars(AC nerfs with Aero-Tech heelgaurds on the way)
K&N filter
Dynojet jetting
Pro Circuit T-4 slip on with Supertrapp headpipe(soon to be switched for Sparks X-4)
Maier plastics
NStyle All Trac 2 seatcover
Ceet seat foam

I also shaved off about as much useless weight as I could - no tool carrier, all excess wiring was stripped off, removed the skidplates, basically anything that didn't have any kind of function for my riding.

As for how the quad runs, I've beaten a Sportsman 400 I've beaten some 400ex's, and I can run alongside most Z400's all in terms of drag racing. Top speed, I have no clue, I'm guessing it's somewhere in the 70-75 mph range, as I can run neck and neck with my friend's Z400 most of the time.

If there's anything else you wanna know about it, just ask.

I'm also attaching a pic of how it used to look when I bought it.

There are a few things in that pic of how it used to look that were added after I bought it. It used to have the original red seat cover, stock tires, Renthal bars, stock shocks, stock hand controls. I think that's about it.

Haha, you like that? Every time someone sees me do that, they say I'm gonna kill myself, lol. I been gettin pretty good at ridin like that though. It's a lot of fun, but I definitely don't recommend just goin out and tryin it. I've been riding flatland on bmx for a while, and been trying to get some of the stuff crossed over to my quad. And of course, you see the first product of this. Anyways, thanks for noticing.

nice riding!! pretty crazy

reale nice looking 300's but you guys should do something about the motor!!
if it was silver or polished it would look realy realy better!!
but the whitefenders look awesome

I painted my motor and it realy help ,heres a pic!http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid153/p918286ace082ffb293ce8856c802143b/f59ad641.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid153/p95dcb909d9b507b81d5d8d42aa14e86a/f59ad659.jpg

One of these days i'm gonna clean up the rest of the motor. Prolly when I pull it again to have it rebuilt.

if my side covers would be chromed it would be the way i want it but the budget is a little thin !!!

300ex73
01-17-2005, 11:31 AM
I hear that. I got a good deal on the sandblasting and powdercoating, so I just went ahead and picked some colors that looked good. Prolly go back to the same guy when I get my a-arms and swingarm, have em done in the same colors.

Soon as I have the extra money though, I'm takin the motor, and havin a Wiseco .080 put in, along with some porting and polishing, a Webcam or Sparks cam put in, along with some lightweight valves(hopefully). Then I just gotta figure out what to do about the clutch.

nice looking 300 how did you get your upper a arms white? powder? are the stockers... i like the white... if they are stockers PC white then thats a cool inexpensive mod...

300ex73
01-18-2005, 06:58 AM
Yeah, those are the stockers, and yeah, it's just white powdercoating. When I had the frame done, I figured I'd have the suspension done to match, and then decided that the white would look good with the white plastics. Thanks for noticing btw.

Good to see people stuntin' on the 300's. Trails and stuntin' are my primary riding experteces

Sorry but their is no way a stock motored 300 gets nehwere near 70-75 mph....try like high 50's or maybe MAYBE low 60'sand the riders on the 400's must have sucked ***....im not dissing your quad because its really nice...but your info is a little off....

Say what you want, but I have run neck and neck with a stock 2003 Z400. He does eventually get me in the long run, but he's usually only doing about 3 mile an hour faster.

Then I'll get some pics or video as soon as I can. Since you don't seem to think it's possible.

i personally wouldnt go .80 over i would do a 330 kit ull get more power and there reasonably cheap now i personally doin the the 350x conversion wit some good motor mods done to it

300ex73
02-06-2005, 07:26 PM
I've thought about the 330 kit, but it just doesn't look as good to me froma reliability standpoint. It's not to say that it couldn't hold up really well, it's just that I'd rather not have to junk the entire cylinder and jug if something goes wrong. Besides, an .080 overbore will work just fine. I'm also going to have the head slightly decked, as well as ported and polished. And I'm going to get a good valvetrain setup, although I haven't decided what brand yet. There will be a good number of things I'll do, but everything I do will be looked at from a longevity viewpoint, as well as performance.

i heard the 330 is good i knwo fo one thats been in a 300 for over 5 yrs wit no problems

That's cool. But I know I'm not gonna spend the money for a big bore. I'm getting a 450R as soon as I can get my Z400 sold. the 300 is mainly going to be a play quad. Idk that I really have any specific reasons why I don't want a 330 kit, but I just know that I don't. I'm not a huge fan of big bore cylinders. Yeah, the Yoshi 450 is cool, and the LRD 265 and 350 big bores are awesome motors. But I'm just not a huge fan of anything else with a big bore.
