Need help. Bad. Installing clutch

I'm installing a new Rekluse kit and am wondering if when I put the clutch plates in do I have to line up the notches on the tabs? Or does that matter? I haven't installed the whole thing yet and can change them very easily. I need your help, quick, thanks, Bartman
