3 inch + a-rm brackets

I have a 250x and I saw on ebay a guy making a 3 inch + bracket that extends the stack a-arms out 3 in. along with using the 400ex shock relocating bracket and 400ex shocks. I know everyone is saying not to use the 400 a-arms. Has anyone had any experiance with these brackets?

sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. if i was pimping a 300ex/250x, i go with a bike specific a-arm, modded top shock mount and 400ex/250r style 16" shocks
