quad041, i see you have a 5.0 mustang, by the picture in the gallery. I got one too and was wondering what you all got done to yours, looks nice and what does it run? I want to get some slicks so if you know a cheap place to get them or want to sell some to me let me know. My mods are in my sig.



also, i was lookin in the movies, ha, believe that, and i remember Striker 49, where did that kid go? He used to live here

I think Striker is currently going to to collage and does not have the time to get on everyday but he gets no everynow and then. He dosent live to far from me.

mine was fuel injected, not carbed but.....it ran 10.50's @ 126
supercharger
gt40 lower/downs ford upper
big injectors
tfs heads
custom cam
blah blah blah, lol
had all the goodies


on a carbed motor i would but the bottle on it for sure man.

i used to get my slicks from summit or jegs, on a street/strip car id run 26" if its a drag only car id go with 28"

were the slicks expensive? i wanna get some, and hopefully not bust a u-joint by popin the clutch to hard, lol, then i'll have to get some rims, but just cheap ones, they don't have to look fancy, i also got 5 lug axles and spindles.

i don't like nitrous cause you can only use it for a couple seconds and you don't use it much and you'll be afraid to use it, i would put a supercharger on it though, if i want a big power adder, i'd put on the supercharger, and i've always said that.


There is this thing in St. Louis called World Ford Challenge and i go there every year, mustangs all over, you got 6 second cars to 10 second rangers, to diesel trucks, this one guy bought a brand new diesel just to run it for the diesel truck challenge, not street legal anymore, only strip runs 13's or 12's, it is fast, black smoke is all you see though, lol. so you should come down here, and we'll hook up, people come from Canada, if you come let me know though its always around May 15-20th, somewhere in there for 3 days, fri. sat. sun. and its on my birthday too, lol

i sold the car a few years ago, but my wife still has her's its a 89 gt convert with a vortex, it runs high 12's.
go to summitracing.com they have all the prices you need.i used to drive it on the street but it wasnt exactly legal, lol

Oh my god, i can't believe you sold it, thats cool your wife still has one that you can drive.

Im hopin to get mine in the 12's with slicks, it will run 13's on street tires.

Im probably ganna go to the track a lot this year. I haven't ran it before but the other guy has, damn, i forgot to see where you live but im not ganna press the back button right now, so if your anywhere around St. Louis, let me know and we'll go to World Ford Challenge.

And i don't want to be rude, but if you don't mind, around how much money did those superchargers cost, and what did you all do? Just lower compression 8:1 and open up more fuel?
