can a shock made for a no link rear end be changed to a link rear end set up if that shock lengths are the same? i dont see any differnces besides the valving and springs, so if it is valved and resprung can a no link shock be run on a linkage rear end?

i'm goin to have to say no...


a link shock has a U shape at the bottom so it can go around the link... a no link has the same as the front shocks so it can go inside the mounts...


every rear shock i've seen have been that way atleast...

Yes. Most aftermarket shocks have inter changable bottom pieces. Or you could probly get a custom linkage made. And as you said, it would need to be revalved, etc.. I would call the company who makes the shock. I know the PEP CR500, and YZ426 shocks are identical except the bottom piece, where the YZ has an 'eyelet' and the CR500 has a 'clevis'.

Are the 2 types of shocks the same length though?
