CRF450r clutch, perch, hot start lever

If i get one of these from a 04. Will they work on the TRX450r 04 Are the cables from the two different???

No , the dirt bike cable is dif. I just went through the same thing. get the Generation X lever/perch , it works awesome. the phone number is 609-646-8132 they have a web site but its not up yet.

How much did you pay for that?? I can get the CRF one for a little less than $50. But will it still work with any changes? If changes do need to be made what doi need to do? thanks for your help.

you'll need the crf cable. it should hook into the carb the same way.

The CRF hot start cable does not work with the TRX carb. The lever that I got from GenX ATV is the only one that I found to work with the stock hot start cable. It was $99.95:)

Ok... i really didnt want to take my carb apart for a cable.... all i wanted was the crf perch which i know will go on, The clutch lever, and the hot start lever.... So you guys are saying that the cable for a 04 TRX "hot start" is different than a 04 crf450r "hot start" I dont want to mess with my carb, I just want to take the perch i have on it now off and put the crf system on....

Like I said the GenX one that i got is the only one that I know of that will work with the stock cable. The TRX cable has to long of a reach to work with the CRF perch. One of my friends spent almost $200. For a CRF clutch lever with perch and the hot start lever + $30 or $40 for a custom cable.

Thats wierd i just noticed that gen-x one on ebay lastnight. I think it was at $50 (0 bids). I just looked and couldnt find it, it must be done already.

Ebay sucks. Everyone wants everything for nothing on there. If your a company, you have to sell things cheaper then retail or your not going to sell it. I looked the lever up this morning on ebay and it came up. They started it at $75, thats $25 cheap then there retail price.

no way in hell am i paying $100 or more for these clutch leavers, how do companies justify selling parts for that much. ill just remove my hot start cable, i havent used it once since i pick up the quad last year. these are disposeable parts that can be broken easly. companies like this is a bad knock against the sport.

The Works Connection lever will work ( i think )...why not jus leave the stock thing with the hot-start already on it, on the quad? Its not that ugly..:p

the only reason that I changed mine was ,I hit the on off switch a few times.

so if i get a crf perch can i use my stock 450r cable? i heard all u have to do is make a spacer for it?
