He probably has a deal and buys them from Laz and worked out the valving to run properly with it. Makes you wonder though since Colby from C&D says they feel one is not needed and he is a honest guy. Just makes me think that Derisi has them valved a little different is all.
Would like to know the travel difference in the rear if any.

i already have the shock and all that installed but the difference between it and the stocker looks to be the it's down a tad more and forward about a 1/4 inchit sits nice and low with lots of sag in it i'll go out and take some pics soon

Moving the shock position forward and lower makes the leverage ratio of the rear shock more to where it should be....with the right valving of course. I have the GT Thunder MX link and revalved shock....I'd like to see how the quad looks and performs with the linkage and dual rate rear shock though.

I think its all a matter of opinion on whats need for the rear end of the TRX, some say just the shock needs work where other use a linkage w/ shock valving. Whatever works efficiently under proper testing! Doesnt matter....I love my rear end setup but I'd like to try out the dual rate spring setup.

Axis seems to think the GT Link is good stuff, they sell the link with their rear shock!

Mike the derisi link looks to be the Gt Thunder also. I was kinda thinking it was going to be. I will be sending my shocks to him and will give a full report. Will be awhile til the whole bike gets put back together.

well just from my recent experience, i think that colby is right that the rear shocks doesn't necessarily need a new link just different valving and spring setup. i just got my shocks back from colby friday and then raced an arenacross race and the rear end did not buck once. it stayed planted over every jump. i purposely cased jumps through the rythme section to see how it would do and it did great.

here is the link to the thread i made earlier on my new shocks setup so you can see how it sets without a linkage.

That is not the Houser linkage. If you look on the site they are not the same. With the Houser you must run a longer aftermarket shock. That looks like the GT Thunder to me...

Is getting closer to crunch time on all my parts to get my bike back together!

Mike I guess I am going to go with the Derisi setup. No real reason why I just am curious more than anything.

Mike I think the Derisis is $120 or $125 more that Gt Thunder for all 3. If I was only going with doing the rear would definately be Gt Thunder.
