Just bougth a ZR 580 and handles bars are way too low. I seen a riser kit in a couple catalogs but no aftermarket handlebars can i just come ATV bend bars on there? How does that work with the heated grips?

Look into the Fly areotapers. I know that is a very common setup on selds. Go with a 4" riser block and a set of them and you will be good. Much better than stock:cool:

depending on your riding...if you get taller bars and risers....your hands will be as cold as a sum beach and more prone it get hit....id suggest a set of handguards also

As far as i know, you can use any type of handle bars, as long as you have the right risers for your sled. Also, if they stick up high and make ur hands cold, buy some hand guards for quads and use them, they help a lot.

But the only real reason u should be putting taller bars on a sled would be to race, so u shouldnt worry about gettin cold hands, if u trail ride, keep stock setup, or look into a better visor.

ive always wondered why no one makes steering stems for sleds like quads...i know of a guy who builds front ends with elkas but thats the only place ive seen something like that
