after cam install

i just installed a hotcam stage 1 cam and was wondering can i start it a ride, or do i have to adjust the valves and timeing.

If you didnt move the chain on the cam sprocket there shouldnt be aby timing issues. Just make sure you put it on TDC and the timing marks line up on the cam sprocket. I zip tie my chain to the sprocket, then the sprocket and chain to my frame so it doesnt move. As for the shims you will want to make sure its in specs. Some people havent had to shims theres but I did with my sparks cam. I would want to know for sure it was in specs.
