I see all this talk about +1 +2 and so on when it comes to the a-arms. can someone explane what exactly this is. (I am assuming it means +1 inch in length) But I see different setups with a combanation. I am new to quads and just wanted to gain a little knowledge. Thanx

Ok so what you are saying is that the 2nd # means how far forward the hub, rim , tire is moved forward. If so what does tis do for the quad. I know what widening does.

it gives you more stability by making your wheel base one inch longer

Not in all cases, the topic being thrashed alot during my first build.
the thought is that you get more power to the ground but it actually made my front end lighter by throwing the balance of the quad off, that is the center of gravity. Depending on the set up you have an extended swinger will balance it out. My 300 with stock swinger and +1 forward was not any better.

So... I just ordered +3 aarms and now I reallyt need to replace the Swing Arm to be balanced correctly??? Thats gonna suck if thats the case cause I just got shocks and Im ordering an Axle to go with it and now Im tapped out!! :grr: :( and to honest. I cant remember if I asked for it one forward either ....... :huh

No you wont need the swinger, hes saying it will throw it off if you get the arms forward more at all. But you dont remember so....... hard to say. I dont think you will notice that much of a difference.
