Hey im trying to widen my 400ex alittle to give it more stability a higher speeds. Ive been looking at the um wheel spacers and the g- force axle more than anyhting else but before i buy something i want to know how reliable the wheel spacers are and what kind of stress they put on the axle, and should i buy a new wider axle instead of the wheel spacers? Any feedback would be great.

Thanks,
Jim

I have heard good and bad thing about the g-force axle. I myself have one and like it. And I'm sure it's alot better and safer then wheel spacers.

if you dont jump hard then get the spacers. Id even say get the spacers anyways and use them til u bend your stock axle.

the only down side to this is that it could be dangerous cause your axle or spacers could break, which could cause you to get hurt.

My buddy had 2 inch spacers on the rear of his 400ex. he has had this quad higher than anybody ive ever seen jump and has had them on for almost 3 years and has never had one problem.

you should be fine w/ the spacers as long as you don't get to crazy with them. Honda's are built tough.:p

Personally though i'd get the axle and then keep the stock one and then when i wanted to sell my quad i'd put all the stock parts on and part everything out. But I jump pretty big sooo....

Get the spacers.;) Also now that I think of it the axle did bend in say two years or whatever he could find another used stock one easily and cheaply because so many people go with after market axles. Then when he gets a new axle for nothing he can just throw on the spacers again and go at it.:D
