Checking VIN numbers

Is there a place online you can have a ATV VIN number ran to see if it was stolen?

i called the local police station, they ran the VIN. I said i was planning on buying a used atv and wanted to see if it was stolen. I did not get charged anything FYI

you can go to your local DMV too...there are places online that will do it but they will charge a large fee
