Seems like I might be running lean at times. Any help and/or suggestions would be much appreciated. I want to set up for cold weather, 0-20F and my elevation is around 900 feet.

My current mods are as follows:

440 big bore, 10.56:1 compression, K&N air filter, stock head pipe and White Brothers E-series slip on wide open with no spark arrestor and no discs.

My current jetting is set up as follows:

160 main, 42 pilot, needle clip in the 4th position down and the fuel air screw 2.5 turns out from lightly seated.

The bike starts up like a champ and idles with no problems. Seems to pop a little in the cold weather when the throttle is pinned.

That weather is real cold. I would bump the main to a 165 or better. Is it popping on deceleration or not? If it's not, your pilot is fine.

Not popping on deceleratoin. I'll try a 165 main...thanks.

i wouldn't get a jet kit either. just buy individual keihin main and pilot jets. i think you will save some cash.

Cal, you thinking I should go with the 165 main or higher?

i woudl think a 160 should be close. do you have a stock head? is the air box lid on? are you sure you aren't hitting the rev limiter? so do you feel a little miss when the bike is pinned? i would look over both air boots. look really really close for cracks. also, make sure all of the clamps are on tight. you could have an air leak.
