i have been looking into aluminum airboxes for a while but i have a few questions....

can you use a lid, and how does/would it attach?
is there a drain in the bottom of the box?
can you take out the filter without removing the battery?
will the box hit the swingarm or come close?

i like the idea of the airbox, especially for the ease of putting the seat on, but i like the weight and lid of the stock box.

can you use a lid, and how does/would it attach? on this box you cant use a lid, maybe if you modify it?
is there a drain in the bottom of the box? yes
can you take out the filter without removing the battery? wil not hit battery
will the box hit the swingarm or come close? no this box is designed so it wont hit if you bottom out.

it's looks neat. how does the air boot from the carb attach to the box and would it be water tight here?

i have the identical box on my bike now and i think it is awsome. i used my stock boot and just cut off the excess that was on it. the 2nd picture is the one that is on my bike. it is an air tight seal on mine. the only thing that i had to do, like i said was cut my stock boot.

hey, can you send me a few more pics of the airbox on your quad? either post them here or email them to me. im wondering if i could either screw my stock lid to the top of this box, or weld some tabs on it and use the stock clips.

i would like to see how it looks from the rear and the side. thanks.

well give him first dibs, im not really sold on it yet.

do you still make these? if so, i dont suppose you would be willing to give me a few dimentions huh. i have a friend that owns a welding and fabrication shop and i was also thinking about trying to make one. i would only make one for myself, i have absolutely no intent to sell. let me know, thanks.
