??blowing smoke??

I just put different pipe on my 300ex(used)..and once i put it on i started it,i noticed a little bit of smoke coming out of the head9where it goes in).I have no idea what it is,it kidan stinks.anyone have any advice?

it is normal for the metal and packing to smoke a little. it should stop. just breaking in. my HMF smelled and smoked for a couple of hours

if its leaking by your header, you need a new exhaust gasket, or you improperly tightend your exhaust and its leaking

check for leaks but like i said it is probably just the oils from manufacturing and shipping

noo it is used...it was taken off of a bike friday,and its been sitting sicne yesterday when i put it on.yeah i was thiking it was the gasket too.

anyone know about howm uch a gasket is?..i know it cant be but a few bucks.

the other day i started up mine and it smoked a little, im like wtf? but it hasn't been run in a while and it stopped after a while so maybe let it run a bit

and maybe there was some foam in it from the packing and you forgot to take it out

nooooooooo i just said twice..its used,it wasnt shipped....it ran for about 15 minutes total since i put it on.

new exhaust crush gaskets are $2.44 from the honda dealer i go to.
