whats the point of handguards? for ppl who arent tough enough to let their hands get hit..unlike me

maybe where you ride....but where I ride the more mud you can keep off your grips the better..

just my .02 cents

yep..to keep mud off of your grips, and for those times your goin 4th gear pinned on an open trail and a branch jumps out from no where and tries to break all your fingers...

Last time that happened to me it didn't hit my fingers but about ripped my plastic off of my quad. Now i have a frankenquad with zip ties.

I wish dirt bikes came with handguards, I went a little too fast down through the woods on a dirtbike, clipped a tree, and wrapped the clutch lever around my fingers. The clutch lever had the outline of my fingers, it was basically like someone took a hammer and laid the lever across my fingers and hit it. My fingers are still sore from it, I think it fractured them but I never had them xrayed, went and raced my first race that way too, could barely pull the clutch in.

My favorite is when you are flying down a trail and that branch comes out of nowhere and hits your brake lever giving you that little front end dip that feels like you're going to get bucked off right over the handlebars.

Oh , they seem pretty strong to me , but i have never seen the origional rally pros in person so i guess i can't really compare the two.
