I bought one of those plastic welders that uses heated air to melt the plastic. after one practice bead on my scrap fenders, I was ready to go. As you can see, it turned out pretty good. they are good as new, and you cant even see the weld on the outside.

caution- you must take your time so it doesn't warp, but dont let the plastic get too hot, it will burn.

that looks pretty kool, good job. Do u think u could wet sand it and use plastic renew? if so that would blend even better, just a thought.

since then, i've wet sanded the exposed side w/ 2000 grit sandpaper. it matched it up really well. you gotta be looking for the weld to even notice it.

most of the crack was up under my seat, so i didnt bother sanding/finishing it under there.
