Cdi Boxes

Is an 02 crf 450 cdi box worth changing the factory 450r cdi box. Or will the box not even work?

I havent heard of anybody running crf rev boxes on the trx. I guessing it won't work but I'm not sure.

It will work but it requires buying the wiring warness as well... It cost about $800 all together I think... It is a very good mod though...

Sounds to me like a vortex or sparks ignition would be alot cheaper.

vortex is cheaper you have to get the stator flwheel wiring harness and a few more things and the cover has to e modded and maybe the flywheel as well, and the flywheel is 2oz lighter and you lose the fan headlight taillight etc, so it really looks like a mx mod but several places can do the work for you if you are interested, im going to stick with the vortex

where and how much was your vortex

I think they are around 400 new, I've seen a couple sell for 300. I believe you can get them about anywhere, I'm pretty sure golden west and duncan sell tjem.
