Hey I was wondering if anyone has seen this kit run and thinks it can compete with the newer YFZ or TRX450R. I am thinking of just getting this kit and keeping my 2001 400EX. CT has a dyno and it looks to be only a little bit down on power 2 those two. Thanks for any help.

my 416 will hang with the new honda 450s if they're stock, even beat them on some drags so I'm sure that 440 will blow it away...

Scott,

I am in the same position as you. I have read alot about different kits that are avalable and read what others have by doing a search in the Powertrain Forum. I have looked at the CT kit you mentioned and I think that is the one I like best, I would get their High-Output Package, but I don't want to have to run race gas. I have not talked to them yet, but plan on doing so no Monday, I would like to do everything I can without having to run race gas. So basically the High-Output Package with out the high compression is what I want. I will not get as much power without the Hight compression, but oh well.

I don't know if I will have to upgrade my clutch though, maybe some else can answer this for us.

I have a 440ex so for spending that much I would expect lots more power than I am already getting. If I won't get it then I guess the 450R is what I would get so that some of my parts could be put on it from my 440ex.

Have you looked at GT Thunder (http://www.gtthunder.com/400ex.html), Hetrick (http://www.hetrickracing.com/400ex.htm)

TC also has a kit but I was not able to pull it up on their site.

My 440 has some power but not enough to keep up with the 450's, when they hit 4th they leave me behind.
