cam question

i just installed a 440 kit and a xr400 cam. its making a pretty loud clicking noise, and i dont know if it should be as loud as it is. how loud are the cams usually? and if its not the cam making the noise what else could it be. its not a knocking noise just a really loud clicking.

i am not sure how loud the xr cams are but the stage 1 hotcams are pretty loud. did you set the valve clearance correct? i am not sure what the specs are for that cam.

be sure your checking your valve clearance correctly. My 440 clicked bad to, I was off a little bit on the clearance though..
