i was reading the project 450r post again and it states they used a Baldwin XC cam.
I have never read any where on hear about it.
I have a sparks pipe and filter/jet kit and no lid.
I am looking into geting the best cam for the money.
I just trail ride and would like to beat the yamajunks.
I was wondering what cam to get?
people say say to get hot cams stage 2 or HRC?
but what about the Baldwin XC cam?

Since it's a XC cam I would think it has more low-mid power. If your looking for drag racing against the yami's I would go HRC or stage II.

i agree,
the baldwin motor pulls great but lacks top end punch, atleast geared the way the project 450R was set up with. the hotcams stage 2 feels great all over the place

I just put the sparks cam in my 450r if I dont like the power it makes, i'm yankin it for a stage II. The only reason I put the sparks in it is because I race XC and I got a killer deal on it.
