I live in Long island N.Y. and running a 2005 yfz stock except for a GYT-R billet air box ring and no spark arestor . I did not jet for either .Should I ? Any help??? The bike runs good and strong.

Rejet for sure!!!!! Your yfz is lean from the factory to make it california green sticker legal.
Pick up a gytr jet kit, dont waste your money on a dynojet kit, they suck. Try a 165mj and pick up a ncvq needle put the clip on the third slot.(both come in the jet kit).

With the colder temps you may even want to go bigger than that.

Go to velocityracingatv.com get his kit. It comes with the NCVQ needle,45-48-50 pilots,and 168-170-175-178-180 mains for 50 bucks. Thats everything you should ever need for when you do other mods.

I would do the 168 main, 45 pilot, 4th or 5th clip on the NCVQ.
