Stock Head Pipe Weld Grinding Question???

I took the head pipe off My 400EX and was looking at the welds. Do these weld hold anything? They don't look like it. So should I grind them down all the way or leave some weld? Any Input would be appriciated.

I took them down smooth and have no ill effects at all.

go all the way down till its flush through out.
