wont start up

for x-mas i bought my bro a k-n air filter for his 400ex and now it wont start up,so we pulled the plug and it was fouled so we cleaned it up and it still wont start,any suggestions would be great

Is there a pipe on it? If so it may need to be jetted.. Im not sure about air filter alone you might also need to go up one on the main jet for that also.. Hope that helps, :cool:

clean the carb, change the plug, make sure gas is clean, mine done this a while back all i did was change the plug and it fired right up.
