450R top speed

For all those 450R owners wanting to now how fast your quad is. Just got the new dirtwheels and the top speed they got was 88.8mph. That was with gearing 15/36 and 22" tires. They did these speed runs in the on El Mirage Dry Lakebed (california desert). Its faster than the YFZ. They did the runs on the YFZ using the same gearing and tire sizes as they did on the YFX. This was in the February 2005 issues on pages 108 & 109. Also, check out the baddest Cannibal quad from cannondale.

Bone stock, the top speed of the 450R is 73.7 MPH.

The 450R had an HMF exhaust on it.

Mine hit 68mph with 20" CC tires on at the 12 hr. with 14/37 grearing.

The yfz was stock with just an hmf pipe

hey i just joined this forum but i have a 2005 honda 450R with an HRC power up kit, Yoshimura Tri Oval exhaust, AC racing front and rear grab bars, CRC Racing oil filter, Pro Armor Nerf bars but yea i would like to know what mine tops out at i just dont have anyone to test it with that would have a speedometer that could also keep up with me and besides that its winter here so a lot of snow my quad is also the black edition i have pics of it if anyone would like to see just let me know
