anyone tried using a 250r swing arm on a 300ex before?

my friend has a 300ex and we are gonna try puttin my stock 250r swing arm on it and run a 250r axle and housing to make it longer and wider. anyone tried it? i was wondering if there is any troubles, of corse he gonna have to use longer brake lines, 250r shock and linkage but will the supension work or will we need to custom fab up some mounts? thanks for any input, later kyle

I've seen it done. You will need to make linkage mounts. It can work.

a 350x swingarm is almost 2 inches longer, maybe it was 1.5 inches ... i can't remember now ... it will bolt up good but needs to be toughened up some cause 3 wheelers didn't have the amount of side stress 4 wheelers have so weld some plates on and your good to go and add a 350x rear shock and linkage which also gives you more travel... 250x/300ex bearing carrier and axle will all fit perfectly and brake cable too ... i never did a 250r swingarm conversion though ... good luck
