busted kick starter

Hi, i got a question for youin's
the kick starter on my 350X motor busted and i need to get a new one. I'm looking on E-bay for one but it is hart to find one for a 350X.

What i am wondering is would a 250X kick starter fit on mine because i seen a few more of those, the main reason why i ask this is because the 250 kicks forward and the 350 kicks backwards. Also what ealse do you think would fit.

I doubt it would be interchangeable but I'm not sure. Any pics of that 350rx? I love those conversions

i plan on tring to get some pics of it in the spring, i can't right now because i took it apart. plan on seeing it in the spring though.

you no what TORO1968 i feel like such a dummy, your right, it must have been to long since i drove it last, i don't no what made me think that it kicked back. So you think that a 250X kick starter will work then.

hey sportraxkid, i was looking at your mods on your 440EX and the 350XX, how does that thing compare power wise to the 440.

Its really close but the 440 takes it. I can beat z400's on though and stock 400's

Hey rideREDrider,

I got to looking at the microfiches for the 350x and 250x engines, and the kick starter arms are quite a bit different, in terms of length, hinge design, etc. It looks like the 350x arm is longer than the 250x arm, which would make sense since you'd need more leverage to kick that engine over as opposed to a 250 four-stroke.

What I'm wondering is if the splines on the two arms match up...because if they do, you might be able to use the 250x arm. It might not be too fun to start though, as I remember how much of a pain it was to kick over my friend's 350x once he rebuilt the engine.

I know there are quite a few people on here that have done this swap, so maybe they can give you some better information.

One other source that might be able to help you out is Powroll...they make a kit to do this swap.

No a 250X kickstarter will not work on a 350X..the kickstarter hits the case when you try and kick it over..the splines match up fine, but when "flipped out" it isnt wide enough to clear the case..it barely hits it, but still hits it..I went through this same thing last week with my 350X when the kicker broke..we tried to use the one from the 250X we have and thats how I know it wont work..I wound up buying one from here for $20 shipped from a guy..Hope this helps you out..dont get a 250X kickstarter..It will not work!!

Hey man no problem..just didnt want to see you waste your money and time..as far as the 200x kicker I do not think it will work either because it is very similar to the 250X. I had also tried another kickstarter off of a different 3 wheeler (cant remember the size, but it might have been the 200x) and it didnt fit either..It hit the case, but it hit it alot worse..Not the actual kick arm itself hit but the part where the kick arm met its pivot point was too tall and it hit the case hard..1 kick on it and there would have been a large hole in the case. I really dont think you are going to have too much luck with any other kickstart other than a 350X..I know that isnt the information you wanted to hear, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do..They are expensive on Ebay, but are twice as much if ordered through Honda. Check around on here..There are lots of people that just have things like this lying around..I will even look around for you and let you know if I come across one..How much do you wanna pay??

a 200x starter is very small and would be hard to kick plus I doubt it would fit.
