i am building a 250r from the ground up and i was told that it is better to use all 400ex parts rather than 250r?? is this true??? and if i use all 400ex brakes, calipers, rotors, hubs, spindles, etc, does that mean that i have to use everything else 400ex swingarm, a- arms, axle, etc??

thanks, josh

it depends on how much your wanting to spend. i would stick with 250r bakes becuse the dual pistons offer better stopping power. i really dont see that you should use any 400 parts if you dont have to. On the rear the swinger wont work. Axle will if hubs are used. Front ends can be interchanged.

250r brakes are better, 400ex suspension I think will lower your quad, axle works but you also need to run the hubs off a 400, It should give you a plus 2 in the rear. jmo Z..

Go with 250R rear brakes for sure, or maybe even 450R.
Get the all new 450R spindles/calipers/ hubs/rotors if you can, it is much better than even the 250R's brakes.
Can't use a 400EX stem.
