i know u can use the crf250 clutch perch and lever with the hotstart built in but do u need the hotstart cable from the bike too or does the stock cable for the 450r work with the crf perch? i really want to get rid of my cluster and e-brake and this is deff. the cheapest way. thanks in advance

Hey, actually just today I was down at the shop and we were putting the Works Connection perch w/hot start on my quad. And thats for the Crf450/250. We had to put a small spacer in the cable to make it work, but now it works fine. (stock R cable)

yep, you just need to make a little spacer to use the stock cable.

i dont see any reason to waste $20 on a cable that you dont need.....

i ran the stock cable for about 2 races and it seemed to get loose , like it would have needed tightening during the race so i got a baldwins cable, it was just like with the spacer it fit alright but not like it did with the stock perch others have had luck with it and the spacer on the works connection perch , i run a stock crf450r lever and perch with hot start
