Daryl Rath back on Honda

Well... I went to Tulsa, OK to meet up with Daryl and Jennifer Rath for the Tulsa Shootout! First of all I want to congratulate Daryl for an AWESOME Second Place finish in the Pro Class!! Way to go Daryl! This year Daryl WILL NOT be riding a Polaris Predator from Polaris!! Daryl made the decision to get on a Honda. This is a RATH RACING honda and he has NO AFFILIATION with Honda what-so-ever!! Honda DID NOT pay Daryl to ride this bike! He actually bought the quad used 2 weeks ago and pulled the motor and sent it to Mark Baldwin at Baldwin Motorsports. Mark worked the motor over w/ cams, piston, ignition etc. and Daryl says the bike is putting out around 53hp. He had some parts next day aired to the hotel so he could finish getting the quad ready! He rode the bike for the first time on Thursday and ended up getting second place in the pro class on Saturday!

It looks like Big Red is back in '05. There has been alot of pro Racers switch to Honda.

Daryl has worked hard on them there polaris quads to bad for them.Darryl gave $500.00 at the quadlympics in 2004 to make the purse $5010.00 which i beilieve was the biggest first place payout at any quad racing event in 2004 held at gravity park in Chilton Wi last year.June 4th and 5th is the dates for 2005 so if any of you fast guys would like to race in wisconsin and try to win some money heres your chance.The Great Lakes Quad Series will be hosting this event and keep your eyes peeled in dirt wheeks mag for more info or go to www.greatlakesquadseries.com we are also hosting a 6 hr of america race in wisconsin at arkansaw cycle park as well.Good luck on your new ride Darryl...Chris
