What does everyone think of the new GM truck bodystyles?

Im not much for the headlight style on them. Maybe it will grow on me.
I think the new styles are the Colorado and the Canyon.

its a 6.5 inch lift with 35 inch tires

with that much of a lift it's kind of hard to fill in the wheel wells because the width of the tire will hit the sides if you go higher. i went through that with my truck and ended up keeping it stock for now....

i like the looks of the gmc's more, our canyon looks really good, the coloraldos have that bar that goes all the way acrossed, doesnt look too good idk it'll wear on me i guess

The verdict is still out for me. Even though I was about 5 minutes away from signing the papers on a new Silverado this spring, I'm glad I didn't. The new Chevy nose hasn't grown on me yet and if I were to by a new GM truck right now it would have to be the Sierra. I don't think it looks bad but it's not the look I was hoping for.

I agree with Guy, the new GMC front ends look better then the Chevy's.

I just got an 04' Sierra about a month ago. I LOVE IT. The newer gm bodystyles are awesome. But I'd be willing to bet that by 2007 there will be a different one, maybe even 06'.

yeah i miss ours, those little trucks are nuts, we pulled a 2500 dully out of the snow and he was slammed on the brakes and we were still goin, awesome little trucks :macho

i do like our canyon, i wish it was a little higher and had the v6 in it, but the i5 is pretty impressive so far :D

Chef how would a bug shield ruin it? They help a lot. Besides it's a truck, they are not made to look pretty, they are made to pull things or go off road, surely not made to be a show piece or have little tires.

chevy needs to offer a manual tranny in the half ton extended cab silverados for us guys that like to shift. it might force me into a colorado because i cant stand not shifting. it sounds dumb but idriving autos drives me nuts and i always find myself feeling around for the shifter. i also thought about a dodge but although i like dodges i think im gonna stick myself to the bowtie. even if it does have 5 cylinders :rolleyes:

Not once have I seen a bug shield that actually kept the bugs off the windshield...It might look alright if he gets the same color as the truck, or whatever, but I just feel that theres no point to put one on...looks like an old mans pickup with it on there. What was the little tires crack pointed at?

thats a nice truck but i don't really like the way the new fords look. i think they should have stuck with what they had.

Chef most shields now actually look pretty good. They used to be ugly, but if you get a low profile one they look nice. The little tires comment was for somebody that would post a "slammed" truck. I think that is just a waste of a truck. The Duramax and Ford pictured are real trucks.

i aggree with who ever said they like to shift. Im the same way. I got a S10 Standard. Shifting is funner. The only thing that kinda gets anoughing is, when ur trying to talk on the cell phone and shift. But it isnt really that big of a deal. Plus standards are usually cheaper, and they get a little bit better gas milage. Plus if your not a moron and dont treat your car like a nascar driver does, trannys can last a ton longer.
