Hey guys,

Thad at Maxxis here bringing you scoop from the 3rd Annual Maxxis ATV Olympics. This event was held at Gatorback Cycle Park in Gainesville, FL on Dec. 27-29. For those not familiar with this event, ATV racers compete in a Super TT, MX and a Cross Country race. After points are added up you have an Olympiad.

If I understood correctly, the Olympics grew about 30% this year. Check out these pit pics. Thanks for everyone who attended, and I hope more of you can make it next year.

The starting area was decorated real nice with Maxxis Banners and American flags. I feel so patriotic! Thanks to the staff at Gatorback for laying out such a nice place to hold this event.

Day one was the SuperTT course. Unfortunatly due to the Christmas holidays I was not able to attend. I do know that John Natalie took the first days pro win. From what I hear, he was sumokn as usual.

I am also sad to announce that Pat Brown had a bad crash. Apparently his rear disk brake landed on his leg and sliced through a major muscle all the way down to the bone. Michelle Reiser informed me that he had to go for surgery that night at a local hospital. We will keep you in our prayers Pat.

Day Two: The motocross races were a blast to watch. Gatorback is a well known track which includes the Elevator as well as many elevation drops. Here John Natalie lines up for Moto 1 on his YFZ. He whipped out the 450R the next day for the Cross Country.

I was excited to walk up and check out the new Suzuki that Jeremiah Jones will be competing on in 05. Good Luck Jeremiah and congrats on the new Factory deal.

One of the cool things about attending the Winter O's is that you get a preview of all the new equipment that the riders will be on for that year. Here is another of Jeremiahs Z.

Donald Lysinger Jr. at the starting line. Seems he had a really good weekend.

They don't call this guy The Ironman for nothing. John informed me that he had no front breaks before moto 1. I thought for sure that would not end good.

Natalie got a great start and it seemed like he pulled a mile between him and the number two rider. Behind him was Lysinger Jr. and Jones.

I am not sure what happened to Jeremiah on the start but he got his stuff together and started passing riders. Unfortunatly, it was a little too late to catch Natalie. He was gone.

Meanwhile, Natalie was running away with this one. There was no one in sight.

Matt White charged hard trying to hold onto his 4th place. He ended up 5th in moto 1 and 3rd in moto 2. Great job Matt.

I think Jeremiah was starting to get in his groove and started to gel with his Suzuki. He was easily in second but was a great distants behind Natalie.

Last lap and he just could not get close enough. Second place is not so bad.

In Moto 2 John Natalie led easily but Jeremiah worked hard and started to close the gap within 75 yards. Natalie waited for him right before the finish, smiled and then hammered down for the win. Great job guys.

Michelle Reiser had a great 3 days at the Olympics. She did have a harsh getoff later in this race. She hit a puddle of mud at high speeds and flipped. She is doing fine. She even finished the race I believe in second place. Great come back Michelle.

I checked my last comment about Michelle finishing 2nd after her crash. I correct myself, it was 4th but she did finish.
