I've started going to the track recently and one rule there is that you have to have boots. For now i just bummed ones off my friends but i wanna get my own now. So could you please help me pick out some boots. Cheap ones, like under $150. I was thinking of the Thor Quadrant? Anyone use these?

I would spend the extra money and get the Alpine star Tech 6
get some alpinestar tech 4 with the quad sole, there good affordable boots, i think a star makes thors boots....there just cheaper built than the tech series diff names and stuff..

I have sold a couple of pairs of the quadrant boots seem to be a good boot for the money, not to heavy either.

If you wear around a size 11 I have 2 sets of used boots, Fox trackers for 75 and a set of AXO top of the lines for 150.

The Tech 6's are a nice boot for the price. I used to wear Sidi's, but these are more comfortable.

What is the main difference between the tech 6 and the tech 8s? Thanks

I use FOX stewart replica boots and absolutely love them... I wouldnt mind having some alpinestars either though...
Basicaly the tech 8's have a separate bootie inside. I have tech 6's and have had no problems. I just bought a pair of the quadrants for my son for christmas. they are very nice and were $129.00. I think they will offer all the protection you will need and are well made.
