I got a neon light for christmas (15" tube) it's red as you can see, we made it easy to take off for rough terrain, it's more for looks, obviously, but it'll go well with the look my quad's gonna have when I'm done.sorry some of these are pretty bad quality, it looks better when you see it physically, not through pictures.I installed a switch for it to make it easy to use

this is just a cheap way to give your machine a look, I had to drill two holes to do it and overall it cost me (if you buy the light) about $19 but I get discounts because my dad works for the company that gives NAPA parts, so retail the light would of cost 20-30 dollars, but it depends on the size too.

that'd be cool, like 4 inch light, but it would only light up the engine, well, actually, it'd be cool because the one i have now I have to take off in certain terrain, like rough stuff, El Mirage is nice for it cause it's mostly a lake bed but the one under the tank would be cool.

my bro has two small blue led lights under the tank on his dune banshee. They are supe bight and alot harder to damage than neons. Same idea though. Maybe i should put those on my mx bike for night races at the track!

I had strobes on my qaud before, around the motor parts. It worked for a while then the switch i installed wasn't waterproof so they stopped working, i didn't feel like fixin it, and i had wires inside the airbox that bothered me.

well, i went to Autozone and got some ricers strobes which come with a converter that lets then run from a 12V sourse, just like in a car. They looked pretty bad *** when the quad is on the trailer on the ride home at nite. Hehehe

I cut up the wire in two places so it's easy to take off just the light and easy to take off the entire thing, in front there's the ignition and I ran it through that to get the battery power, this is because when the engine's running the battery is charging, I think the magneto generates the power but basically it's a moving generator and I took advantage of that, lol. I'll get pictures of how I wired it up today cause I finished the van halen design on my quad and I'm gonna get the pictures of that too.
